Delete account

How do I delete my account?


Under Profile > More > My Account, click "Delete Account" at the bottom and follow the instructions.




I have deleted my account. Why do my old chat partners still see our conversations and my profile?


That is correct. When you delete your account, all your data is deleted from our servers. Nobody can download your profile anymore. However, chat histories or even your profile are stored offline on your chat partners' devices. So you can't delete them from their devices. After all, we do not have access to our users' devices.





General questions

How do I open the "Profile" menu?


Click on the face icon in the upper left corner of the home page.




How do I open the "More" menu?


Open the "Profile" menu as described above. Then click on the icon in the upper right corner.




How can I change my search criteria?


In the upper part of the "Profile" menu you have the possibility to edit them using sliders.




How can I edit my profile?


Scroll down a bit in the "Profile" menu. There you can edit all information.




How can I view my own profile?


In the menu "Profile" you can click on the big colored circle at the top.




How do I create a good profile?


Fill in all criteria completely.

Education/profession and hobbies: Do not write "I have a job" or "Ask me". Other users want to know what you do in your life.

Description: Be creative. Better short and snappy than long and boring. 4-5 sentences is often a good choice, but of course this is individual.

Voice: Add your voice to your profile, it makes it much more personal. Make sure there is no background noise. For example, mute your TV before recording.

Spelling: Make sure your spelling is correct. Typos make your profile look unattractive.

If you manage to put a smile on someone's face thanks to your profile, you're almost guaranteed a Like or even a Power-Booster.




What other tips do you have?


- Use your Power-Boosters wisely. Go into a specific piece of information in the profile and write something funny or interesting.

- Don't start a chat with "Hi, how are you?" - Instead, think of something creative and respond to the other person's profile. This will improve your chances.

- Come to the app regularly. If you have a match, you should not wait unnecessarily long. In our experience, our users are successful on Lovetastic quite quickly. If you wait two weeks to write, it is often already too late.




What happens when I send a Like (swipe right)?


If the other person has already liked you, you have a match. Otherwise, you have a match as soon as the other person also likes your profile. In a match, both of you have the option to write to the other person.




What happens when I send a Power-Booster?


The other person receives a Power-Booster notification and has the option to reply to you directly. As soon as you get a reply, a chat will open and you will see your Power-Booster and the reply to it in this chat.





Change device

How can I use Lovetastic on a new device?


Make sure you have linked the account on your old device with a login method. If you didn't already do this when you signed up, you can do it later under Profile > More > My account > Add login. If you have forgotten which login method you have chosen, you can click on the info icon in the upper right corner under "My Account".

With this login you can now log in on a new device. Your old device will be logged out and the data will be transferred from your old device to your new one.




I have a current subscription. How do I activate it on my new device?


If you are using the same account, it is already activated. If you don't want to use the same account and have created a new account, click Restore under Profile > More > Lovetastic VIP.





Lovetastic VIP / In-app purchases

Lovetastic VIP is not activated despite successful purchase. How do I activate it?


In rare cases it can happen that during the purchase the communication between the app and our server does not work optimally. However, there is almost always a simple solution for this:

Restart the app once and press Restore under Profile > More > Lovetastic VIP. Then follow the instructions in the app.

If that doesn't help, please restart your device once and try again. If this does not help, please contact us under Profile > More > Contact, so that we have your User-ID directly. Ideally, you should also send us your proof of purchase as a screenshot. We will contact you as soon as possible. And don't worry, you'll get everything you bought.




I have not received my purchased in-app purchases despite a successful purchase. How can I still get them?


Restart the app once. (On iOS only: Press "Restore Purchases" under Profile > More at the very bottom). Wait 15 seconds with a good internet connection, the app will upload the purchase information to our server where it will be processed. Restart the app after that - the new information will be downloaded from the server. Restart the app again after 10 seconds. Now everything should work. If that doesn't work, restart your device once and try the same again. If that doesn't help either, contact us as described above and we will manually credit your purchase.




How do I cancel Lovetastic VIP?

Send messages

What do the check marks next to the message mean?


A gray check mark next to the message means that the message was sent correctly. Always make sure that a gray check mark appears next to each of your messages. 2 gray check marks (Delivered) and 2 blue check marks (Read), as you may know them from other chat apps, are not available on Lovetastic for privacy reasons.




What can I do if my message was not sent?


If there is no check mark next to the message, it was usually not sent. What can help: Switch from WLAN to mobile data or vice versa. In some cases, certain networks may not work optimally for a short time. Another thing that often helps is to restart the app. If that doesn't help either, restart your device once. This almost always helps with this problem.

How do I contact you?


If you can't find an answer to your question here, we'll be happy to answer it by email. Contact us in the app under Profile > More > Contact, so we have your user ID directly and can answer your request quickly. If you don't use Lovetastic yet, you can contact us using the contact form on this homepage.




Why does nothing happen when I click on Contact under Profile > More?


This means that you don't have an email account set up on your device. Please set up an email account in the settings of your device and try again afterwards.





Numbers, data and facts

What is the percentage of women on Lovetastic?


On Lovetastic we have (as of 08/17/2021) 38% women and 62% men. Lovetastic is one of the dating platforms with the highest percentage of women due to the concept without a photo on the profile. In addition, we try to design our marketing so that women see our ads disproportionately often.

If you see ads from dating platforms that advertise with more than 40% or sometimes even more than 50% share of women, you should take this information with a grain of salt. Experience shows that the higher the percentage of women on a dating platform in the advertisement, the lower it is in reality.




How many users does Lovetastic have?


Our user numbers increase daily. To give you an overview, we regularly update the total number of downloads on the homepage. In addition, the number of downloads is officially shown on Google Play (Android). Currently (as of 08/17/2021), we have the 100,000 - 500,000 downloads batch on Google Play. There is no batch on the App Store (iOS), but the download numbers correlate with those on Google Play. Accordingly, you can multiply the download numbers on Google Play by about 2 to get the total number of downloads.




Where does Lovetastic have the most users?


We have the largest number of users in German-speaking countries (Germany, Switzerland, Austria). If you come from another country and there are not so many users there yet, we ask you for some patience and understanding for that. We hope that we can gain users in your country as soon as possible.




Does Lovetastic work for all genders and sexual orientations?


Yes, Lovetastic works for all genders and sexual orientations. You can choose between male, female, other and no indication when you sign up. After that you can decide if you are looking for men, women or all. If you select "other" for gender, you will have plenty of space in the description to specify your exact gender.




Are there fake users on Lovetastic?


No, of course not. Only real people are registered on Lovetastic. So you never write with an employee or a robot. Our goal is to make you fall in love, not to rip you off.

In fact, there are many platforms in the dating industry with questionable business models. So we always recommend you to be careful and never use apps where sending single chat messages to the same person costs money every time. At the latest after a match, contact between users should be free.




Can I use Lovetastic for free?


Yes, without any problem. However, there are in-app purchases and subscriptions that give you advantages. Here are the most important advantages: With Lovetastic VIP, you can do unlimited likes/swipes every day and can convert likes directly into matches. With the purchase of additional Power-Booster you have more than the one daily free Power-Booster and have the possibility to get in contact simplified with even more people thanks to the Power-Booster. Important to say: you can also like and swipe users for free and of course get matches easily if you both like each other. Furthermore, chatting is always free of charge.




Why are there purchases/subscriptions on Lovetastic?


Marketing in the competitive dating market is enormously expensive. Our competitors are often financially strong large companies from the USA. As a small Swiss start-up, you have no chance of making the app known and continuously increasing user numbers without financial support from your users. From a large number of users benefits everyone who uses Lovetastic. So if at some point you get the message that you reached the maximum number of likes today and have to wait until tomorrow, we ask you to understand and remember that you indirectly benefit as a user yourself from the purchases/subscriptions on Lovetastic.
